Does the Shroud of Turin and Akiane‘s “Jesus Prince of Peace” Painting Prove Heaven is Real?

Posted by Carol Corneliuson on

Akiane Kramarik, now age 22, is a self-taught Lithuanian-American poet and painter. She rose to fame as a child prodigy, having begun her art career at the age of four. Akiane is considered to be the world’s youngest binary genius in realist art and poetry. Collectors and art galleries around the world seek after the original Akiane Kramarik paintings. Akiane also has two best-selling books and over two hundred paintings now in her art gallery.

The Shroud of Turin is a 14-foot swath of twill linen fabric, housed at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, Italy since 1578, that bears an image of a man appearing to have endured the physical trauma by means consistent with Roman crucifixion. It is possibly the most studied and most controversial artifact in history. The Shroud of Turin is believed by a great number of Christians to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ. The Gospels of Matthew (27:59–60), Mark (15:46), and Luke (23:53) all state Joseph of Arimathea bound the body of Jesus in linen cloth and donated his new tomb outside Jerusalem to place the body of Christ. This same linen is mentioned again in The Gospel of John (19:38–40) when Peter located strips of cloth after the tomb was opened and Jesus had risen.

In 1998, Pope John Paul II stated the following regarding the Shroud of Turin: “The Shroud is an image of God’s love as well as of human sin [...] The imprint left by the tortured body of the Crucified One, which attests to the tremendous human capacity for causing pain and death to one’s fellow man, stands as an icon of the suffering of the innocent in every age.”

So, what do these two indirect, seemingly unrelated topics have in common, you might ask?

Connections Between the Shroud of Turin and Akiane’s Prince of Peace

In 2003 at the age of eight, Akiane Kramarik produced a visionary portrait of Jesus titled “Prince of Peace.” Akiane has said the painting came from her visualization of God and her visits to Heaven, one which she had during her sleep, and that He serves as sole inspiration. Since that first encounter, Akiane has spoken bravely and clearly about her visions of Heaven and God, and her family has converted from atheism to Christianity.

In a 2012 interview with The Washington Times, Akiane described her visions of Heaven: “Plants, animals, and all beings spoke not through words, but through color, vibration, and thoughts. Everything was simply effortless. But my recollections of Heaven and visions are fading, and new experiences are being formed through time. My understanding of Heaven has expanded and deepened since my first encounter with visions and dreams of Heaven. We co-create our reality. However, we like it and need it. To a certain degree, some people can experience that even here on earth.” Examples of creating with god

  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
  • My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27

In another interview with CNN, the famed artist defined how God appears to her, saying he is “like a bow of light - pure, really masculine, really strong, and big … His eyes are just beautiful.” And in yet another interview in 2007 conducted by StreetBrand Magazine, she stated, “He showed me all these beautiful galaxies and other places. I asked Him who He was, and He said I already knew…”

While some even in Christian circles remain skeptical, Kramarik’s, “Jesus Prince of Peace” painting has been lauded by many devotees in numerous Christian traditions to be the same face depicted within the Shroud of Turin.

This connection was first made by Colton Burpo in 2006 and spoken about in his father’s best-selling book, Heaven Is For Real. Readers learn in this book that after a near-death experience, following a medical emergency at the age of four in 2003, Colton spent over three years trying to find the face of Jesus who he’d spoken with in Heaven. His search was fruitless, and no images depicted what he saw. It was only when his father found Akiane Kramarik’s “Jesus Prince of Peace” painting while watching a CNN interview did Colton say “that one’s right”. Colton referred to Akiane’s painting as the only accurate representation of Jesus he’d come across.

Is Heaven Real?

Shroud of Turin and Akiane Kramarik Revelations

Are the private revelations, hopeful narratives and divinely inspired paintings of Akiane proof that Heaven is indeed irrefutably real? Both had experiences with God and Jesus at the age four, and both of them saw the same face, a face, which bears a remarkable similarity to the Shroud of Turin, and the superimposed images are striking in their resemblance. Experts have also compared the Shroud of Turn and Akiane’s Prince of Peace Painting and their conclusion was there is an 80-90% match.

This stunning video transitional comparison of the Shroud of Turin and Akiane Kramarik painting of the face of Jesus are strong enough for many to confirm both Akiane’s and Colton’s claims of both witnessing Jesus and Heaven are real, and that the kingdom of Heaven awaits Christ’s followers who believe.
