The Real Face of Jesus Reveals His Perfect Love for Humanity
In 2003, an eight-year-old girl made history when she painted a portrait of Jesus Christ entitled “Prince of Peace.” Believed by many to be a real picture of Jesus, “Prince of Peace” was painted from the visions of child prodigy Akiane Kramarik. Raised by atheist parents, Akiane’s heavenly experiences began at the age of three and a half in the form of visions and dreams – these “inspirations from above” in combination with her mysterious talent in art and poetry led her family members to embark on a search for spiritual truth and enlightenment.
Like Christian mystics of the past, Akiane grew up austerely and close to nature. “Our family had no money, no friends, no relatives, no television or radio. Our life was quite simple—long walks in nature, open conversations, and hands-on explorations of knowledge,” she said in an interview with God Reports.
Being so cut off from the outside and media influence it was a surprise to all when Akiane began to see God. It was through these visions she began seeing the face of Jesus and through her painting she has been able to bring heaven to earth in her picture of Jesus titled “Prince of Peace.” Akiane says, “Since nobody told me who God was, I found God myself. He’s been there for me through the years. I don’t belong to any denomination or religion. I belong to God.”
By age nine, Akiane Kramarik was inducted into the Children’s Hall of Fame and had completed “Father Forgive Them,” a painting that depicts Jesus lifting up the world in prayer within the Garden of Gethsemane. By age eleven, she had completed several more pictures of Jesus spanning scenes from His birth to His Resurrection.
Significance and Timing
One merely has to turn on the television or look on the Internet to see the darkness and suffering that pervades our world. People live in poverty; disease is rampant, governments are corrupt, wars are waged, and so much more. The populous is hurting now more than ever, and it is during these dark hours of need that God chose to speak to Akiane, divinely inspiring her work as a message to the world. Prince of Peace painted by young Akiane is a light and hope within that darkness. Akiane’s inspirational paintings pave the way for people to disconnect with the violence of the world and embrace God and His love, compassion, and hope.
What is now believed to be the real picture of Jesus has been revealed. The question that remains is, what will humankind do with such a remarkably generous and unconditional gift?
God’s Love for You and all of Humanity
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Pain and suffering may haunt the world, but the message of God is one of perfect, unconditional love. The Father holds within Him abundant love for you and all humanity. God’s idea of love is the act of giving, just as He showed by giving his only Son, Jesus to pay the penalty for humanity’s sins.
This type of unconditional love is wonderfully expressed in “Father Forgive Them,” Akiane’s painting of Jesus just before he was crucified.
We all know about suffering – it is a sad and inevitable part of the being human, and fear is often the root of our personal problems and anxieties. Often we deal with fear, anxiety, and suffering by distancing ourselves from the source of pain becoming numb. However, God seeks to mend that separation, to heal the world’s suffering, through His perfect love.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love.” – 1 John 4:7-8
By definition we love others with conditions attached – we fall in and out of love - we love with expectations that cause us to be flighty and fickle. God’s love for us transcends our understanding. He understands us and loves us just as we are! Though we lack the innate ability to love as absolutely and purely as God does - once we have experienced God’s love through inviting Jesus into our hearts – we can better understand and offer unconditional love to others.
Akiane says, “He is the only way to God—the only way to heaven and joy,” in her interview with God Reports. “My personal views on Jesus have only matured and deepened since age 4. As I grow, I see how vast and unlimited His love is.”
Through many of Akiane’s painting we can see Jesus’ mission of forgiveness, grace, reconciliation, peace and healing – these are attributes of LOVE that humanity desperately needs. The divinely inspired Jesus, Prince of Peace painting is a gift from God through Akaine Kramarik. The love in his eyes and the compassion of His expression resonates believers worldwide. Many believe the real face of Jesus has been revealed at this time in history as a witness of His love, to encourage us, to draw us to God, to capture our hearts and imagination of what it will be like to spend eternity in the presence of love.
Akiane says, “I portray Jesus how I see him, as human and as divine. […] My art is only a representation of what I see—Jesus’ glory is beyond any description!”
