WHO IS JESUS
A Short Biography of Jesus
Jesus existed with the Father before time began
and humbled himself to be born in the form of man, His most prized creation.
Prophets of old predicted his humble beginnings.
He came to die and proclaim the fullness of life for all mankind who believe in His Name.
Familiar with suffering and acquainted with grief, He understands pain on all levels.
Yeshua was despised and rejected,
but prayed, “Father forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing.”
Such superhuman love defies human explanation.
It’s the passionate heart of a Father for His treasured children.
His story is one of redemption. He bridged the gap we severed by our sins.
Because He chose to shed His blood on our behalf,
we are free from the curse of the law of sin and death.
Because He rose from the dead,
we too will someday rise with Him, if we only believe in His Name.
Christ’s life painted a picture of light and hope in the midst of darkest hopelessness.
When He ascended to heaven to be with the Father,
He gave us the Holy Spirit as a deposit guaranteeing what is to come.
Now the risen King lives within,
and our hearts beat to a higher nature than the kingdom of this passing world.
Our changed lives are proof that Jesus is alive.
We have been recreated to freely step into His highest purposes.
The great I AM has hidden these things from those who think they are wise,
and revealed them to those whose hearts and minds are open to His love.
He comes to us today in Spirit and in Truth.
There is no peace without the Prince of Peace.
When we submit to the Master’s brushstrokes, He fashions us into His image.
True beauty sparkles from His Kingdom within, and those who look to Him are radiant.
We rest in His greatness and goodness.
If His eyes are on the sparrow, then we know He watches us, too.
As Isaiah 9:6 prophesied these name and characteristics of Jesus thousands of years before His birth,
The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

In the beginning, the Word already existed.
The Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:14 Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. Psalm 8:5 For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household” Acts 16:31 He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. Isaiah 53:3 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12 I have come as a light to shine in this dark world so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. John 12:46 And he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised to us. 2 Corinthians 1:22 So Christ has truly set us free. Galatians 5:1 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. Psalm 34:5 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3: 16-18 But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it…. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable than a whole flock of sparrow.” Matthew 10:29-31 “At that same time Jesus was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, and he said, “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike." Luke 10:21
