• Is the personalization permanent? Will it fade, peel, or wash off? Yes. Handcrafted Keepsake Gifts uses enhanced art techniques designed to create lasting, permanent designs on Pyrex baking dish glass. Unlike vinyl stickers or surface printing that can wear off, our custom, hand-etched technique alters the glass surface itself so the design becomes part of the casserole or baking dish and will not fade with normal use, washing, or baking.
• Is the customized Pyrex still oven-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe? Yes! The base Pyrex glass remains fully functional for its intended uses (oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer) when proper care is followed. The personalization is applied in a way that does not compromise the glass’s heat resistance. Always follow standard Pyrex guidelines: preheat the oven, avoid extreme temperature shocks (e.g., freezer straight to hot oven), and do not use on the stovetop or under a broiler.
• How is the personalization done (laser, sandblasting, etching cream, etc.)? The business uses proprietary “special enhanced art  & etching techniques” that transform photos, quotes, scriptures, and inspirations into the glass. This produces crisp, detailed, permanent personalized designs suitable for heirloom-quality keepsakes rather than temporary surface decorations.
• Is the design food-safe? Is it on the inside or outside/bottom of the dish? Quality personalized Pyrex is designed so the food-contact surface stays smooth and safe. Designs are typically placed on the exterior bottom or non-food-contact areas so they do not interfere with baking or cleaning. The glass itself remains non-porous and food-safe.

• What sizes are available?   Customized Pyrex options include 2 popular baking sizes, 8 x 10 and  9 × 13, as well as various casserole and pie dish sizes. 

• How long does it take to make a custom order? As a made-to-order keepsake business, the customized Pyrex production time will depend on the complexity of the design (photo vs. text, number of elements, etc.). Most orders are shipped within a week of art completion and approval.
• What is the return/exchange policy for customized items? Custom personalized items are generally non-returnable because they are made specifically for the customer.  In the event of shipping damage or a production error, your items are covered by our guarantee.
• Will the dish still be durable? I’m worried about Pyrex shattering from temperature changes. Modern Pyrex is tempered glass and performs well when used correctly. The Pyrex personalization process we use keeps the inherent durability of the glass completely intact.  Follow normal Pyrex care (preheat oven, avoid sudden extreme temperature changes) and the dish will remain a reliable, long-lasting piece.
• How do I care for a personalized Pyrex dish? Treat it like regular high-quality Pyrex: dishwasher-safe (or hand wash), oven/microwave/freezer-safe within manufacturer guidelines, and avoid thermal shock. The permanent design requires no special extra care beyond normal glass bakeware handling. Avoid abrasive scrubbers directly on the design if you want to keep the etched area looking its absolute best over decades of use.
