Maybe you can recall the words to the beloved childhood song "Jesus Loves the Little Children" written over 100 years ago by East Brunswick, New Jersey minister, C.H. Woolston.  It goes like this ... 

Jesus Love the Little Children

All the children of the world

red and yellow, black and white

they are precious in his sight

Jesus loves the children of the world

The patience and love Jesus feels about little children is revealed as he speaks to his disciples and the crowd when he says ...  

Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. ~ Matthew 19:14 

I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven. ~ Matthew 18:3

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. ~ Matthew 5:8 

         To the pure, all things are pure .... ~ Titus 1:15 

Everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself  ... ~ 1John 3:3  

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this:  to visit orphans and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world. ~ James 1:27 

Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.  ~ James 4:7-8

... wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow… Create in me a  clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. ~ Psalms 51:7, 10

 

We are all called to become Little Children of God!  He says ... 

prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach .. ~ Philippians 2:15

If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. ~ Romans 10

See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; ~ 1 John 3:1-2
